Lingering in Lathkill Dale

Today we took a stroll down Lathkill Dale which has some of the clearest water you will ever see in a river - you can see ducks swim right down to the bottom. As you can see, it's a popular place for weekend walkers and families . The clarity of the water has something to do with the fact that the river runs over limestone, so I'm told. Anway, it was a beautiful morning for a stroll and we had a superb carvery Sunday roast at the Farmyard Inn in Youlgrave, then walked all the way back to Over Haddon. A great way to spend a Sunday.
