We had a late trip into Liverpool and things looked like going pear-shaped as car hire was beaurocratic to say the least and the new museum was a little disappointing. Revived in the Tate cafe we wandered very slowly back through L1, with retail therapy on the way to the train and fish and chips in Formby. Day saved.

I have a red nose from sneezing all day......
