Old architecture

I went to the city to buy an English grammar book which I need for my exams and took my camera with me. There were a lot of people outside and I think the reason therefor is the lovely warm sun and the great summer feeling you have, when you walk outside. So, I made this picture and sat me down in a café close to this building.
I am not sure how old this building is -- but could it be the renaissance?
