Thank you Mr Slater.....
Tonight......FOOD.......I'm a bit of a foodie at heart......I hate crap food, I don't make it at home and more importantly I hate paying for shit food !
I thought I would blip more meals than I have, I'm a lover of well photographed good food. One of my favourites is La tartine Gourmande she not only turns out interesting recipes but also writes about her life........ a bit like this I suppose !
My beef stroganoff is not particularly well photographed but it did taste bloody nice, so courtesy of Mr Nigel Slater I want to share the recipe with you......this takes no time at all and not an oven chip in sight......you know who you are....
Beef -225g
1 tsp paprika
freshly ground black pepper
knob - butter
olive oil
175g onions
175g mushrooms
1 tbsp smooth french mustard
1 small pot sour cream
Cut beef into strips. Cover in paprika and black pepper, leave. Olive oil in shallow pan - cook onions till soft, add mushrooms till soft. A similar shallow pan melt butter and drizzle of olive oil, cook beef strips on high heat so outer brown inside pink (about a minute or 2) Stir in mustard into onions and mushrooms. Transfer beef and buttery juice to onions and mushrooms pan and stir in sour cream. Serve with rice or noodles. Enjoy !
(I tend to add way more mustard and paprika as I like it a bit more fiery !)
Enjoy the rest of your evening ! :)
