Flagless
Walked up to the Vet Surgery this morning to hand in the samples taken from Behr's unplanned visit to the vet hospital yesterday. Left Behr at home resting and walked up since it was such a fine morning.
This very large flagpole is near the surgery in Bannockburn and can be seen for miles and miles. It's a pity they seem to have given up hoisting a flag. The pole seems so empty reaching for the skies but without a flag flying proudly from the mast. I think the many tourists who visit also wonder why there is no flag. My guess is that they are stolen or there is just not the money or manpower nowadays to raise the flag on anything other than special occasions. I liked the contrasting colours of the rusty iron rope tethering the white pole and the beautiful blue sky this morning.
Will now need to wait for the lab results from the samples. Behr will be seeing the vet on Tuesday evening again having had a very quiet day today.
