Lift Off

Light was going and a picture of the Heron standing face on to the Camera was not really going to cut it. so I thought I would wait till it took off. I was only going to get one shot at it so just as it took to the air I got this shot of that 1st beat of the wings and the lunge of its legs.

Just after I took this and was heading off I spotted an Otter, sadly to far off for a decent picture but was well excited as this is within the city boundry in a river with a lot of industrial use up stream. I will have to go back and set up a hide.
