Back Blip - Mag cover

Sorry for the back blip, but it was late getting home.
This is Ed Bryne, god knows how many times champion nationally and internationally in martial arts.
My son's are students of his black belt academy and Ed asked for a picture to be taken of him breaking blocks for the front cover of a magazine.

I was under orders by Ed to:
A) Have him looking at the camera (very hard to do whilst smashing your palm into a good few kilos of concrete apparently.
B) To capture his errrrr 'block breaking' face
C) Ensure the Black belt acadamy Tshirt was in full view
D) And to capture the moment the block broke.

We had 5 blocks to get it right. After 4 and no success, I changed to a Canon 50mm lens @ f1.8. I took the camera off the tripod and after a deep breath this was the result. Phew, front cover of a some martial arts mag done. Yippeeee!!!!

I can still smell my nervous sweat 2 days later.
