View from Castle

Went up to the castle in Alvito for lunch with friends and family of Paula.

So friendly and hospitable.

This is the view. Today we are going to Granny's house for lunch with about 15 other people. We've been warned it's another marathon with countless courses! Next week salads!

Today is the assumption of the Virgin Mary and the church bells began ringing at 5 am this morning! As we are right next to the church we could be in the bell tower itself! At the moment they are ringing and we're having to shout at each other to be heard.

I really like 'real' Italy!
