Proper Posh Sunday

Sports with the kids and the wife abandoned us to go meet her new student friends (yes more student friends - I am also wondering when she is going to grow up and get a job like the rest of us). Guess where they went? The Three Sisters? Nope. Some crazy show thing on the Fringe? Nope. The Union? Nope. Tigerlilly. Yes that expensive place on George Street. No they never went for a soft drink or even a spot of lunch. They went for Afternoon Tea. Students and Afternoon Tea. Have you ever heard the likes?

So I thought, if you can't beat them (I would get arrested) then join them. So I made posh cheese and ham toasties.

Strong cheese and mustard blended. Spread it on some lovely bread. A few layers of good quality ham. Brush the outside with a good olive oil. Cook in non-stick frying pan until a nice dark golden brown with a few touches of extra crispy black. YUM.

Then some oriental noodles and beef for dinner (made my own stock etc and everything).

Night, night.........it's THAT DAY again tomorrow.......
