Bad Moon Blipping

A bit of an emergency blip tonight... I had a day full of unsatisfying pictures so decided to try and get one of the moon tonight as it was so clear.

I tried all sorts of settings but just got white blob after white blob.

In the end I stood in the kitchen and snapped it out of frustration, with the flash on, expecting a reflection back from the window. I just wanted to see what effect it would give. Lo and behold it was my best moon pic of the night! Not great by any standards but it gives me a benchmark to improve on.
