Surprise Bloom

I thought they were done! Kaput! Not to be seen again until next April!

But then I opened the blinds on my sliding glass door after getting out of bed late this morning and the color made my eyes pop wide open.

A cactus flower!! A beauty, too!!

What a nice surprise on a lovely Sunday morning.
