Lady in Red

Every now and then I've spotted these female meadow grasshoppers which are red, but this specimen was probably the reddest I've seen.

BTW, when one is photographing bugs, the best hours are definitely mornings in the late summer. When it's a bit chilly, the bugs stay still longer and there's more time to adjust the camera settings. And usually there's a nice dew on the undergrowth :)
