Stuck....

In the basement of unit EC 5...
After cleaning the coolingwatersystem from Japanese oystershells we were putting the coolingsystem into service again.
But: the debris filter which has to remove oysters- and mussels does not want to turn. It's a large (2 meters in diameter) filter that rotates slowly. The debris is removed by ejector principle and is lead around the condenser and brought back into the seawateroutlet. See the grey piping.

We tried several things and tricks but nothing works.
The debrisfilter is suspected for a longer time already because we found small oystershells in the pipes of the condenser but we hoped to run with it until the major overhaul of the unit in two weeks.

Now the unit is unavalable and the technicians are underway.
