High Flyer

This is the ever so common sparrowhawk which frequents the motorways (freeways) of Britain.
I have often seen these beautifull creatures hunting prey at the side of the road and untill now i have never been able to take a pic of one.
The opportunity arose while stuck in a traffic jam on the A19 in Newcastle upon Tyne and i just wish i had a stronger lens .
The pic was fine untill i had to resize it for blip but hey who knows next time i may get the shot i really want.
I had a choice between this pic and one of a herd of deer at Raby Castle in Co Durham but as the deer were captive i chose the wildlife shot.
Hope you all enjoy.

Sorry i havnt been commenting on your blips but as some of you may be aware i was tied up in court and duelly won my case. I will catch up with you all soon. Thanks to all for your best wishes and support.
