Gothic treasure

Zvíkov Castle, known as "the king of Czech castles", is a located at the junction of the Vltava and Otava rivers, 15 km north of Písek, in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. A spectacular location, despite the stormy weather that accompanied our visit there.

This view is taken from the top of the main "keep" looking towards the gatehouse and tower. The water really was this green, seemingly an algae: not sure whether it was a healthy affliction or not...
