Nikon 50mm f/1.8G - tryout

Had a little try of the new Nikon 50mm AF-S f/1.8G lens in a shop this afternoon. Extremely impressed. Beauty.

Birthday not too far off so maybe it was, subconsciously, deliberate that I focused on the gift-vouchers in the middle of the frame!

Not yet tried this against the 35mm AF-S f/1.8G. Anyone any opinions on either of the two, or comparisons?
