Circling overhead ...

Neil treated me to a weekend away at a lovely hotel near Dumfries, including a 3 hour horse-riding trek on Sunday morning. While I was away doing that, he wandered about and took some great photos of the local birdlife, including nesting herons, and some aerial shots of buzzards, a common sight during the summer in Scotland when you're in the countryside.
