Cladode filigree

Ruscus is an evergreen shrub and cuttings are regularly used in floral bouquets/arrangements to give a dense, green foliage.

The skeleton is what remains of a leaflike stem, called a cladode. Small flowers are borne underneath the cladodes, and sometimes delvelop into a bright red berry.

Behind the skeletal remains is a cladode which show the small flowers hanging down from a stalk.
