A glimpse and it catches the eye

Just returned from paradise - which for those who don't know is actually about 6 miles off the A7, between Avignon and St Remy, Provence. While there, on one of our morning strolls to the village to buy bread, this beautiful leaf jumped out at me and begged to be cerished. It was lying on the path along the canal and did actually look as if it didn't belong, as if it had been placed there rather than fallen from a tree and become dried like all the others.

I saw it, a heart placed on a pathway, so I took it and brought it back to England
