Needle Point
The weather seems to be doing an impression of something decidedly unsummery this week. Nevertheless, the children enjoyed a couple of hours with buckets, spades and sand on the Avon beach near Christchurch, Dorset.
At least the wind was blowing well for the surfers and the weather was clear enough to see across the water to the Isle of Wight and the Needles at the Western end.
This all followed a few hours in Lymington, spending too much money at the market buying real foodie accompaniments to the home-grown courgettes and runner beans for tomorrow's lunch.
I hope you like it.
