We three ....
The holidays are progressing nicely despite the poor weather. My son wanted to go the Walker Art Gallery today to spy a Van Gogh.
We popped on the train and a short journey we are in town. At the Walker we asked what was good to see and were told there was an exhibition Art in Revolution Liverpool 1911 and there were three Van Gogh drawings to see.
Heres a link to the Walker :D
We discussed the merits of the pictures that took our attention and Miss E2 thought the paintings had been done recently as they still 'looked wet' :D Observant wee girl !!!
The children love this venue and I am more than happy to go there as its free. The building is opulent and totally awe inspiring. We had a snack in the cafe there which was a tad bit expensive for my liking but the food was good and the coffee excellent. Well worth popping in on anyday if you live nearby.
Then on to the World Museum which is next door. It was so hot inside we went to see our favourite exhibits and then to cool off had some ice cream outside.
Lovely end to my hols and Im back to work Monday :D
