FEAST

Today, in Nerving, NJ, was the Feast of the Assumption. The day begins with an 8:30 am Mass followed by a procession through the streets.
The day celebrates the assumption of Mary, Mother of God, into heaven. The Society of the Assumption is a men's only membership and they carry the statue, collect & pin the donations to her cape & play in the band. The children and young pregnant women follow behind.
