Marjorie's ramblings

On my walk today

At last, a day without rain. I did some gardening and discovered that ants have invaded the circular border in the centre of our turning circle. Some of them decided to attack me too.

I was very glad to get out for a walk this afternoon. When you walk "round the block", in my case it's a 3+ mile block through the fields and on quiet country roads, you don't expect to see anthing unusual. However, there she was, rather the worse for wear and leaning against an open gate. Why? I have no idea but I've blipped her.

I chose to include the gate in the composition for context. Apart from the usual layers of curves to bring out different parts of the image, I made a black and white conversion and then added a sepia tint. It seemed appropriate somehow.
