Golden

Sadly said goodbye to Emmy, Lal and Jon and crossed over to visit Iain near Glenfinnan.

Iain took me out for tour in the land rover round the estate where he works . We had a look at his salmon hatchery and then went up the two main glens to look at the river and deer.

Up the second glen, we came out of a forest to see this fantastic glint of sunlight making a rainbow over the hill. When we came round the next hill, this golden eagle was soaring round and came right down to check us out. It came within about 50 feet and we just watched it in awe for about 15 minutes. Incredible evening.

The light was pretty poor and I could have got some incredible shots of the eagle if it had been brighter, but I had to crank up the ISO and most of them are a bit noisy. I need a D700 now!
