Thunder Hole
On Tuesday, the forecast called for rain at anytime, so we drove the car up to Thunder Hole in Acadia. Basically, over time, the rushing water gouged a little cave out of the granite rocks. Now, when the water rushes into the cave, it traps a pocket of air, compressing it an making a loud thunderous boom. Unfortunately, when we went, the tide was too high for us to witness this phenomenon. Instead, we just enjoyed the view.
