Coastal Banksia

Yay! At last I've escaped city suburbia and am now on my way north via the coast.
Lately I have been pretty slack in getting any Blips up. Lots of gaps :]
The flowers on the Banksia trees are almost all past their best but this one shone. The seed pod in the background is blurred out which is rather a shame as the pods are fascinating in their own right.
I'll take this opportunity to thank you lovely peeps for your very kind comments over the weeks. Alas, I rarely thank you personally but really do appreciate your interest. I'm knocked out by the wonderful and inventive blips on this site along with the interesting and informative descriptions.
