Th big day

Yep! It was! Most important news of all, we finally got handed over the keys for the flat. After months of waiting, a lot of hassle and living among boxes after my move to Dresden, we can finally look forward to moving into the new flat. :)

We now only have to wait for the kitchen to be fitted and the furniture to be delivered as well as the internet to be connected. This all should be happening within the next two weeks. Yippie!!

An another note, maybe not quite as significant as receiving the keys to our flat but still something meaningful to me, after almost 13 years of driving and owning a car, I no longer have the license plate from my home town. Here in Germany, the car is registered to a person with the license plate showing the county the owner is registered in. So when someone moves to a new city, he or she has to also register his/her car receiving a new license plate.

I know, this is me rambling and probably pretty silly but it's odd .. like receiving a new phone number after 13 years and you not recognizing your own phone when it's ringing.
