Normandy Beach

Coming to the end of our short holiday already. We were all a bit tired today so we took it easy. Lots of time in the swimming pool with the kids followed by a late afternoon trip to the local beach. The beach was incredible. The tide was so far out and there was this sort of coral reef running through it (its the dark green line you can make out in the distance). We saw on it all manner of marine life including oysters, clams, crabs and these weird shellfish that were a whole stack of shells on top of each other... No idea what they were called - any suggestions?

It was a very good way to round off our holiday. Up before the crack of dawn tomorrow to catch the ferry.
