Holiday - Day Two

Another wet and dark day in Belfast with temperatures (at present) of 14°C rising to a high of 17°C later. What a beginning to my summer break - second day when it really isn't possible to do a decent walk without getting soaked ... and I'm not terribly fond of getting soaked!
Still, it will be good for reading though I need to watch my posture! Last night in bed I read for so long that there's a stiff shoulder this morning ... no doubt that will go away soon.
Eliot somehow managed to get himself wet (and smelly) in the garden and is now curled up in an armchair filling the house with his newly acquired perfume! There's a photograph of his horrible highness on my 365 project ... http://365project.org/elizabeth/eliot
The bright spots in the drawing room are the orchids on the windowsill ... six of them that I've had over a number of years and all flowering over and over. I could sit and absorb their beauty for a long time ... and today I needed to get up close to one of them just to find something cheerful to start the day!
With greetings to anyone who has bothered to read the ramblings of a rector on holiday! I hope you have a good day - whatever the weather.
