Back at the GPs for a check up after my blood pressure went pressure cooker at a visit to the nurse a few weeks ago. It was improved today but not as good as some of the readings I've had at home.

I'm delighted to say my GP is being very thorough, I had routine blood tests today, booked for a 24-hour blood pressure monitor on Thursday, got a letter for an ECG at the open access clinic and referred for a kidney scan sometime in the future. Just to be sure that it isn't "white coat" hypertension, that there isn't any organ damage (if it's true hypertension) and make sure there isn't anything sinister underlying it all. Very impressed with the care I've received so far.
