New friends, Manchester eye

Spent the evening hanging out with my new Belgian friends, over here on holiday from Brussels. It's good, as usual, to get a fresh perspective on things from someone who doesn't live here. Undaunted & encouraged by the serious police presence in town after this week's rioting, we went on a late night stroll around Castlefield. I always love to see the lights reflecting in the canals & I never tire of seeing the massive pillars that form the support structure for the huge bridges in this part of town.
