Making steps

I didn't think much about photo stuff today. The day was all about making steps in the bank down to the bottom garage and taking Girl to John Lewis to look at wool. Met Isolda at the shop who I'd taken some wedding pics of in April. Her bloke took a book to read whilst the girls did the shopping. I held some tights for Girl and watched the world go by. I should have taken a book or my camera and taken some pics of the weird looking painted stick girls on the make-up desks. Anyway, to prove I've been working with rough-cut wood I've taken a pic of a rough-cut hand.
Difficult focus in an odd way. The prime lens doesn't focus close so I just set it on closest and put the camera on live view and move it till everything comes in focus. Trouble is even with my strongest glasses my arms are not quite long enough without tilting my head back.
