this is Chris* and Alice waiting patiently today as we returned to Rudy's nursery for a leaving party for all those going off to school. I am calling at a 'leaving party', but as you may already know these parties are nowadays called

I had a very brief conversation with Rudy beforehand in which he expressed his astonishment at my declaration that I might greet. And I did. A wee sneaky cry for my baby who is not such a baby anymore.

*I am very aware that up until now Chris has never appeared in any of my photos. I am sure you have not wondered why, but perhaps if you ever have and maybe concluded that he is shy, I am here to reassure you that he is the biggest lovely show off in the world.
