The Legacy

This is one of my prized possessions. It is worth precisely nothing. It probably cost nothing but was more likely won at a fair in Leeds or whilst on holiday in Blackpool.

It belonged to my Grandma. It was on her wall as far back as I can remember and, never backwards in coming forwards, I always asked her, when she died, could I have it.

Inevitably that day came. 30 years ago next year. I inherited a third of the value of her house in Leeds - the princely sum of £180.00.

But more importantly for me, I got the Indians Head!
