Just Beyond the Fence

The other day I saw a guy pick a golden poppy with the utmost care and sincerity. He fastened the flower to a bike handle, a bike of someone I suspect he knows... If only he knew that the golden poppy, California's state flower, is illegal to pick. People get fined for that kind of thing. Hopefully the recipient doesn't get caught, although the gesture was very sweet. =)

Golden poppies are all I got for today since being the victim of food poisoning and an aching body kind of got me down. I got a lot accomplished for today, but now that my day is over, I just want to take some medicine and sleep for a thousand years.
