Scrolls

Whenever the Festival is on in Edinburgh, heading towards the west end of Princes Street and the area around St Cuthbert's Church is always rewarding - lots of craft type stalls, and also art, which tends towards the political/social justice genre.

This is a close up from one of a set of four (?) giant scrolls hung on the outside of the Church by a Palestinian artist - from the text I think this is part of the Festival of Peace & Spirituality which is running just now? Other Embra blippers can correct me if I'm wrong. They are really striking, and I loved the black and white script, which this amazing red - definitely worth a look.
