Work combined with bad weather; there is a hole.
Edinburgh Airport was shut for three hours this evening. I was still in London City airport waiting for my Edinburgh bound flight to take-off; don't be fooled by the 19.30 delay notice on the 18.05 flight to Edinburgh, it took off at 20.30.
A spokesman from BAA Edinburgh said later, "The main runway is having resurfacing work done and combined with bad weather there is a hole"........wtf?
How can bad weather translate into a hole?, surely the act of digging a hole and then not filling it in again results in a hole?
Methinks the regulator review of the running of the airports is long overdue.
