Chillis...with extras

My Apache chilli pepper plant is doing rather well. Had two the other day they are very tasty and hot, they are not at their best just yet another few weeks should see a very decent crop.
We salute you, small chilli,
Green and lean,
Off to be eaten by Dax the machine.
We?ll miss your curves
And the way that you dangle -
Without you your plant is merely a tangle.
But you?ve been a good veggie
So now it?s your turn,
To get chomped by a human and make his mouth burn.
