Balls!
I spotted these, no pun intended, at the local car-boot sale today. They are rather colourful. The stall that these were on, had about ten sets, I did notice another set had the ball that seems to be missing from this one. This stuff was also here on Tuesday, and there is also a couple of boxes, with the pockets and racks from snooker tables. I don't where the tables are, they certainly wouldn't fit in his van. He had the long cues, rests and spiders, but it looks like they have gone to a new home. I am amazed at the stuff that turns up, and the optimism that the sellers have in getting rid of the stuff. I was o.k when I had my allotment, and could take stuff directly there, store it for a few years, then maybe take it to the tip, and then it would come back to the car-boot. Earlier this year I took some stuff to Clitheroe Auction Mart, I got quite a good price for it, then the same stuff turned back up at the car-boot, the following Tuesday. I very nearly bought it back, to see if I could make another pound on it, but decided not. I am under strict instruction, from she who must be obeyed, that anything that I might buy, fits inside an empty box of England's Glory matches. Now I think that is a little unfair. The only thing I could think of that would fit in there is jewelry. She knows I can't stand to wear jewelry. Ahhh! the penny has finally dropped. What a cunning plan? I will have to forego the chance of finding that rare fifth dynasty Ming vase, to comply with her draconian orders. Was it ever thus?
Adios.
