Turkey vulture

Yesterday evening our daughter Jen and her husband, Jason, arrived from their home in Houston, Texas. They had left their home around 10.30 Monday night, driven through the night, and arrived with us about 7pm!  They were just staying overnight, before continuing today up to Jason's family in the north-east of the state. They will be back with us Friday evening for a long weekend. It was late morning when they left, so I had an early lunch, then got out to enjoy the beautiful weather at Glenwood Gardens, where I captured this turkey vulture soaring overhead. They're quite ugly birds when you see them up close,but I think they look quite beautiful in flight. This evening, Roger, Philip and I went biking on the Little Miami trail, then went out for Indian food - something we always have to do when Philip is home, as he loves Indian food, but he can't get it where he lives, in Alamogordo, in southern New Mexico.
