The boy is back in town

McDevil dog likes to chew all his toys; to the extent he destroys them. Balls especially suffer from his attentions
We found a pet shop that sold bags of 50 odd balls quite reasonably so we bought them, thinking even at a ball a walk we have a couple of months supply.

Last Saturday we went for a walk, with a new ball. It had to get wet and muddy and smelly before he was interested but after 10 minutes treatment the ball was his. He chased it, he worried it, he chewed it, he had fun with it and yes, by the end of the walk we had less than a quarter of the ball left. No problems, we had lots of replacements available.

Saturday night McDevil was sick, as he was many times on Sunday. When cleaning up we found bits of ball both large and small. He was not only chewing, he was swallowing. He vomited all day Sunday and again on Monday, still with bits of ball. When he started again on Tuesday it was to the vets for him. X-rays, endoscopes and overnight accommodation sorted him out, we hope. So far the cheap bag of balls has cost £5 plus a vets bill of £474. (and he?s worth it says W1).

I do still have 49 balls left.
