Musikfest 2011

What is Musikfest? It is an annual ten day festival held every August since 1984. Offering over 300 performances (most are FREE!!) on 14 different stages. Stages are called "platzes," a homage to the city's Germanic heritage. And it is held virtually in our backyard.

So I decided to venture to Musikfest today in search of a good blip. I don't normally go to places like this by myself, but as I have gotten old ..er older I have started getting more daring! The photo here is a large mural by artist Dan Ault. It looks 3-dimensional but is actually flat. Be sure to view large to see all the details.
