On your bike
Well, that's what Norman Tebbit told the feckless, workshy masses to do back in the '80s or whenever it was. The father of one of my friends didn't have a bike so he built one out of scrap metal so that he could cycle to and fro looking for work. He didn't get anything. There wasn't anything for a 40-something, unskilled manual labourer.
I thought of him - Tommy - when I saw this.
