Molly on the Shore
A wet-day blip.
This print is of Molly on The Shore by Lancelot Roberts, a popular artist of the earlier 20th Century who specialised in 'charming' portraits of young children, mostly in oils. It was a gift to my mother-in-law and fits the cottage beautifully. We cherish it and have had it re-framed. It seems that any one of the family's little girls could be a Molly on Arran's shore!
Apparently, there was a popular song with the same title. I don't know if there was a link.
