The second of the two 2for1 days at the festival and another family outing to the Pleasance for a morning show of Mr Benn. And, as if by magic, this newest outing from Tall Tales theatre group (who wowed us with their Room On The Broom adaptation a couple of years ago) was utterly charming and pretty lovely throughout. A few songs, a bit of dancing and a fabulous Mancunian Sea Monster who really reminded me of Robbie Williams for some reason.

Grown-up show in the evening, back to the Pleasance for Seann Walsh. I laughed, I chortled, he was good enough, but seemed to me like he had an abundance of jokes in the bag but hadn't quite worked out the best order to put them all in for it all to flow together for a proper show. He seemed a thoroughly alright kind of bloke though which goes a long way I reckon.

At the risk of sounding like a pretentious fool, (I'm risking it, I'm risking it I know), my favourite place for curry is this one. That's right, it's in New York,. I told you I was risking it, feel free to rip me to shreds in the comments if you want. It's a real cheap and cheerful place in Midtown Manhattan that has a counter service bit downstairs and then you take your food upstairs to the restaurant bit and scoff away whilst looking at all the activity going on down on Lexington Avenue. It's great, but a bit inconvenient when you live in Scotland. However, oh yes, there's always a however, it's similar in style, feel and general laidback charm to the magic Mosque Kitchen, which is altogether a little nearer to home. Nice and relaxed, busy enough for a bit of atmosphere without being rammed, and cheap and delicious food. £5 very well spent. Here endeth the recommendation for a place that many blippers are exceptionally familiar with already I know, but if you've never been this is as good a time of year as any.

Right, I've written more than I meant to and haven't even got to the music yet. Someone new subscribed to me yesterday, someone who took a very nice image of the brewery demolition. And, this person complemented me on my selection of tunes, so, pressure's on, what to go for today (?) Best go for summat new. Cheers.
