Handmade Holds More Life

This was knitted a long time ago by my great grandmother. She passed away recently, and I finally decided to display this in the common room, as opposed to tucked safely in my bedroom. I worry often that something will happen to it. But it has survived many moves, many years...times where it warmed friends, played peekaboo with children...

The yarn is fuzzy, but strong, the stitches true, tight where they need to be, loose where they should.

One of my prized possessions....one of the things that would be missed horribly if lost. Priceless!
