Boat Trip to Side

We were sold a boat trip on the beach to the town of Side (see-day) yesterday so we turned up today and off we went for the day. The boat was a bit run down but it was a nice change from the hotel. L really liked the fish they served. I brought along my own cheese sandwiches acquired at breakfast time.

The town was ok, a bit touristy and a we were not used to being hassled to eat in restaurants. It was a reminder of how nice out hotel was and how nice all inclusive was.

We were sold some photos on the boat back - more out of sympathy for the guy. A german ex boxer had to translate for us as the boat crew didn't speak English. He got his photos free for helping out!

At one point the boat dropped anchor and we all swam in the sea, even Louis. Exhilarating and hard work keeping Louis in his ring!

When we got back we were taken ashore by a proper speedboat. It went so fast my cap flew off! Luckily the driver was kind enough to about turn and retrieve it for me. The most memorable bit of the day.
