We often don't notice what we see on a regular basis.
My 5 yo asked me why there were rosettes high up on the wall by the butcher in Stonehaven, I had no idea, so I took the picture so I could read the plaque, as it was too far away to read!
One assumes the ribbons were placed on his birthday.
