Taking a tumble: part 2
Not me this time, instead it was my 68 year old, poor dad. He's not the smallest of men, in fact he's sort of, over sized, to be polite. We were walking to the beach when he tripped on something and stumbled forward (in slow motion it seemed) and landed in a heap on the floor. As he tried to get up he stumbled for a second time and by now an audience of concerned passers by had gathered. I felt very sorry for my dad as I'm sure he was quite embarrassed. One guy was exceptionally caring and really looked after my dad. He kept telling him to stay on the floor, not to rush getting up. He said " you're in Turkey now, here you can sit in the road as long as you like!". Other people gave him water to drink and wipes to clean his cut. People couldn't have been kinder. As we walked away I joked and said " well thanks for choosing such a handsome guy to fall in front of, he was gorgeous!"
Good news is he seems fine now and is all set for his boat trip tomorrow with my mum.
