Bakewell from Castle Hill
First off, thank you for all yesterdays congratulations on my 200th blip. I didn't realise that I'd been blipping that long and would have made a bit more effort with my picture, i.e. gone out!
Anyway today I did go out on a fascinating tour of all the land owned by Bakewell town council.
I discovered walks and views that I never knew existed.
On castle hill, so called because there was a motte and bailey castle there, nothing substantial but a castle none the less.
Now all that remains of the castle is an overgrown mound, but it comes with a great view of Bakewell.
Pictures of the church are on postcards for sale everywhere in town but not of this view.
